With a population of about 905,000 residents, Oahu is home to over 90% of the state of Hawaii’s population. Oahu is also nicknamed “The Gathering Place” and is the home to Waikiki and Honolulu, the state capital and largest city. Of the eight major islands, including Ni’ihau, Kaua’i, O’ahu, Moloka’i, Lana’i, Kaho’olawe, Maui, and Hawaii (also known as the Big Island), Oahu is the third largest island. The island is made up of two shield volcanoes: Wai’anae and Ko’olau. Although Oahu suffers from overcrowding and traffic, something that the other Hawaiian Islands don’t have as much of a problem with, Oahu contains the most modern developments and has much more to offer whether to live there or are just vacationing there.
Oahu has one of the most plentiful opportunities for shopping, dining, and entertainment of all the islands. Oahu is also home to Waikiki, the main tourist center in the islands, offering not only excellent shopping and dining experiences, but also famous luxury hotels and world-famous beaches. Some of the popular beaches on the island include Hanauma Bay, Waikiki Beach, Kailua Beach, Lanikai Beach, Waimanalo Beach, Ala Moana Beach, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, and Sandy Beach. Some popular attractions on Oahu include Diamond Head, the North Shore, Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Bishop Museum, Honolulu Academy of Arts, and Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Little known about Hawaii is its rich history in haunting. Haunted Honolulu’s Oahu Ghost Tours take guests to some of the most haunted places on the island. These tours allow you to be a witness to unique places, ranging from ancient locations of sacrifice to Hawaiian gods and goddesses to modern sites like hospitals that housed sick children during World War II. These mysteries range from orbs, to instant changes in temperature, as well as anomalies that have no sources. What may surprise you is that some of these places are rich in history by day, but haunting at night.
The guides on these tours are not only experienced, by expert storytellers with vast knowledge of the places you visit.
